In the mean time, I had to purchase a car, since my little blue Honda Civic wasn't coming back. We test drove a few, decided on a Subaru Forester (great hatchback for the dog!) and I wrote the second largest check I've ever signed. Fun fact: the largest check I've ever written was for that Honda Civic, about a year and a half ago.
Earlier this week, I got a call that my reimbursement check had arrived at my insurance agent's office. I had to get there, sign over my car title and pick up the check. Here's where it gets interesting.
Synchronicity is the universe saying YES! - Danielle LaPorte
- A blue Honda Civic drive past as I opened the insurance office door. It was exactly the same car I'd lost just a few weeks earlier.
- I didn't know how much I was getting back from the insurance company when I bought my new (to me) car. I could only hope it would be enough to cover this huge expense. My reimbursement check was exactly $1.10 more than the check I wrote to the car dealer.
- After depositing the check at my bank, ANOTHER blue Civic was parked right next to me!
I'm not sure what this all means, but I want the Universe to know I was paying attention. I'd like to think it was a way for my old car to somehow saying goodbye, and letting me know I was on the right track. I'm thankful for these signs, and I'll hope for more. For now, I'll keep paying attention.
